David Bialosky will succeed C. Thomas Harvie as Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.'s general counsel when Harvie retires in October.
Bialosky is the executive vice president of TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. He also serves as TRW's secretary and general counsel.
His "breadth of experience and his record of success at TRW indicate that he will be an important contributor to Goodyear's leadership team," says Goodyear Chairman, CEO and President Bob Keegan.
Harvie joined Goodyear's board in 1995 after serving as vice president and associate general counsel at TRW Inc. He was named Goodyear's vice president and general counsel that same year. He was then elected senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Goodyear in 1999.
