May 2, 2008

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is jointly exhibiting with the United States Commercial Service and the Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) at the 2008 Recaufair Tire Show.

The event will be held May 5-8 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The event's organizers are anticipating 10,500 domestic and international visitors. The retreading, recycling, commercial and service sectors are the focus, and the show will also feature lectures on markets, technology, environment and social responsibility.

Germano Julio Badi will represent TIA and Anne Evans, director of the Middletown Export Assistance Center, will be representing the U.S. Commercial Service. Members of TIA, TRIB and other U.S. companies interested in growing their export activities are invited to stop by the TIA stand.

"TIA has historically had strong ties to South America, and we are looking forward continuing those relationships and working more closely with the U.S. Commercial Service for the benefit of our members," says Roy Littlefield, executive vice president of TIA.
