The Modern Tire Dealer 100 highlights the top independent tire store chains in the United States. Commercial tire dealers are well represented in this year’s list, which will appear in MTD’s July issue.
Of the 104 dealers listed (there is a six-way tie for 99th place), 37 have commercial-only outlets, led by Snider Tire Inc. with 39. Forty of the dealers have at least one combination commercial/retail store; Les Schwab Tire Centers, the third largest tire dealer in the country, has 353 of them!
In all, 54 different dealers, or 52%, sell medium truck tires. They represent 1,169 outlets, or nearly 25% of the total outlets represented by the Modern Tire Dealer 100. They also have 76 wholesale warehouses.
