CTNA names Williams VP of commercial tires, replacing Roydhouse

April 30, 2008

Continental Tire North America Inc. (CTNA) has named Paul Williams executive vice president of Commercial Vehicle Tires (CVT) for the Americas, effective immediately. He replaces Tom Roydhouse, who "is departing after 38 years of outstanding service to General Tire and Continental," say CTNA officials.

Williams most recently served as vice president of purchasing and supply chain for Continental Automotive Americas.

"Paul has served as a valuable member of the executive leadership team with Continental in Charlotte for more than four years," says Matthias Schoenberg, CEO of CTNA.

"During his time here, Paul has helped to advance our CVT operations by significantly improving the supply chain operations. In addition, he steered the successful restructuring of (CTNA's) purchasing organization following our integration with Siemens VDO."

Schoenberg says the departing Roydhouse “has led the CVT team with distinction and played a key role in our growth and expansion into new markets across North and South America."
