The new BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A Tour tire is designed for CUV and SUV owners "who hit the road more often than the trail," says Michelin North America Inc.
The latest addition to the BFGoodrich touring family is available in 35 sizes ranging from 15 inches through 20 inches.
"We wanted to give crossover and sport utility owners a better choice for all-season handling and control without sacrificing comfort and wear life," says Joe Mazur, BFGoodrich light truck brand category manager.
"The Long Trail T/A Tour tire delivers aggressive control mile after mile while accentuating the precise all-season handling found in today's CUV and SUV vehicles."
The tire features the following:
* a closed shoulder design and unique contoured tread blocks for crisp handling and precise cornering;
* a rigid center rib, strategic siping and optimized rib shifting, "which translate into a positive on-center feel at highway speeds, exceptional all-season traction and a quiet ride."
The two-ply polyester carcass features the company's Equal Tension Containment (ETEC) System and a high-strength bead, which help the tire retain its shape at high speeds.
