Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. Vice President and CFO Phil Weaver will retire at the end of 2009 after 19 years with the company.
Cooper expects to name Weaver's replacement by the end of 2009. The Findlay, Ohio-based company is conducting a search and is considering both internal and external candidates.
Weaver will continue as CFO and also will serve on Cooper's executive committee until a successor is announced.
Prior to his current roles, Weaver served as controller of Cooper's Tire Division from 1990 to 1994 and vice president of that unit from 1994 to 1998. He was named CFO in 1999.
