Fresh off back-to-back wins in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Round 1 & 2 Opening Events in Primm, Rob “Fig” Naughton and Team ReadyLift Racing charged into Surprise, Arizona looking to keep the winning momentum at full throttle. Round 3 & 4 of the LOORRS held at Speedworld Off Road Park on May 2-3, 2009 offered many new challenges to the drivers in the Unlimited Lite class. This is a new track that few race teams had even seen before, let alone competed on.
While the track and venue were completely different from the last month’s season opening event, the results from the two days of Unlimited Lite racing at Speedworld mirrored the previous efforts at Primm. Team ReadyLift Racing dominated the field in Rounds 3 & 4 and took home the 1st place trophies yet again! Team ReadyLift Racing’s Rob Naughton is the only Pro Driver in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series to remain undefeated in 2009! That’s not to say the racing has been easy. Rob has had to battle his way through the front half of the field and swap paint with series challengers such as Casey Currie, Chris Brandt and Brian Deegan. The battles for the leads provided some exciting racing action for the sold out Speedworld venue.
This weekends two wins gives Naughton 16 career victories in short course off road racing, accomplishments achieved in only four years behind the wheel of an Unlimited Lite race truck. What made the winning weekend even more special was the fans at home who could not attend the Speedworld race got to watch the racing action from Primm on SPEED. While Rob was winning in Arizona, millions of viewers got to see Team ReadyLift winning in Primm! Now that’s a great racing weekend for Team ReadyLift!
