ASA Tire Systems' partners help with bailout

May 5, 2009

ASA Tire Systems reports that the response to its $1 million Tire Dealer Bailout Program has inspired many of the software supplier's partners to offer programs of their own.

Activant Solutions is offering a discount on the initial licensing fee for its Activant Integrated Service Estimator software to ASA customers. The software provides fast and accurate job estimating, say ASA officials.

Synergex is offering a percentage discount on licensing fees for SCO Unix to Linux migration for both existing customers who wish to add users and new customers joining ASA Tire Systems.

"As partners of ASA Tire Systems, we work with them to advance their Synergy/DE-based TireMax application by providing the latest technologies for them to incorporate into the application and by supporting new platforms that become available on the market and are important to their customers,” says Senior Synergy/DE Account Manager Nigel David.

SonicWALL Inc. has donated firewall appliances to dealers applying for grants through ASA's bailout program. The appliances allow users to securely operate their software systems.

ASA officials report that Progress Software also is participating in the bailout program "As the technology partner for ASA Tire’s application TreadX, we are pleased to be part of this program," says a spokesman for Progress.

ASA has received more than 200 applications for bailout grants and has granted nearly 37% of available funds to date.

Dealers can apply for the remaining funds via ASA Tire Systems' Web site, www.asatire.com/bailout, or by contacting an ASA representative directly at (603) 889-8700.
