BFGoodrich Tires and Mazda North American Operations announced today an agreement that makes BFGoodrich Tires the exclusive official tire and tire supplier of the 2009 SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup through the 2009 season, beginning this weekend at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Ga.

The 2009 MX-5 Cup season will feature eight of the finest road courses
in North America, beginning at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Ga. on May
1-3.  Each MX-5 Cup car during the 10-round racing series will be
outfitted with BFGoodrich g-Force R1 tires in dry conditions and
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW tires in wet conditions.

"Given the vehicle setup, handling characteristics and track
configuration, the 2009 MX-5 Cup is a great platform for us to showcase
our ultra-high performance tires while supporting the sport's
up-and-coming competitors," said Roberts Kukainis, brand sponsorship
manager for BFGoodrich Tires. "We're confident that the drivers, teams
and spectators will get a full dose of what our g-Force family of racing
tires can do."

The BFGoodrich g-Force R1 tire is derived from decades of motorsports
innovation, engineering and domination.  The g-Force R1 tire is designed
for drivers looking for a competition-ready tire with superior grip and
sharp steering response.  The symmetric, non-directional tread design
also provides for excellent cornering power and precise turn-in, which
stimulates confidence for garnering the quickest lap times in road
racing competition.
