The new Porsche Panamera will be equipped with specially designed Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 and Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 tires.
The fitments are the result of a three-year collaboration between Porsche and Groupe Michelin, according to Michelin offcials.
During testing, the Pilot Sport PS2 was subject to 90-minute tests at speeds of more than 186 miles per hour, with a 20-minute burst at 220 miles per hour, they report. "Testing was conducted at different locations around the world, notably at temperatures as low as minus 13 degrees Fahrenheit to test winter tire rubber compounds."
