Blogs touch on China, California and Cooper

April 27, 2009

Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich doesn't have all the answers, but he sure has a lot of opinions on his B.O.B. blog page.

In "Will domestic tiremakers back a Chinese tire quota?" on April 23, Ulrich explained why the petition by the United Steelworkers asking the U.S. International Trade Commission to set a quota on consumer tire imports from China will probably not receive support from the tire manufacturers.

In his latest video blog, "California: the tail wagging the dog," he talks about legislation that will affect not only Californians, but also tire dealers in the other 49 states. Concerning tire aging, he says "Our industry already has lost in the court of public opinion."

And in his April 27 blog, he points out that Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. is having an April to be celebrated.
