Toyo launches national TV, print ad campaign

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. has launched its new national marketing and advertising promotion for 2009. The campaign is designed to boost awareness of the Toyo brand and educate consumers about the firm's full line of products.

"Running through June, this promotion includes TV and print advertising as well as point-of-purchase kits" designed to support Toyo's network of independent tire dealers, according to Toyo officials.

The TV component will include a 30-second spot, "People Who Know," which features a Toyo dealer explaining the benefits of Toyo tires. It will run on programs such as the NASCAR Series, the National Hockey League play-offs on NBC, and others. The commercial can be viewed at http://toyotires.com/about-us/tv-commercials.

The print component will focus on tire treads.

The point-of-purchase kit, entitled "Natural Selection," is "loosely based on the Darwinian theme of 'only the fittest survive.'" It will include a large banner and poster, graphic warps for stacks of tires, and other components. In addition, dealers can submit a photo of their store display to enter a contest for a mini HD video camera and other prizes.
