Kumho Tire Co. Ltd. has appointed Jong Ho (J.H.) Kim CEO and president. He replaces Dr. Sae-chul Oh as head of the company.
Prior to his promotion, Kim served as CEO and president of companies outside the tire industry for Kumho Asiana Group.
"Although we face significant challenges as an industry, I am pleased to return to the tire business and guide our company to the next level," he says.
He joined Kumho in 1976 and has held numerous sales and marketing positions with the company.
Many in the United States may remember his nine-year "tour of duty" with Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc., where he served as general manager, managing director, then vice president of sales. He returned to South Korea when he was named executive vice president of sales and marketing for Kumho Tire Co.
