1-800EveryRim.com has acquired some of the assets, including the phone number, of original equipment wheel broker Acker Wheel.
Acker Wheel's customer phone number, 1-800-9-WHEELS, has been in existence for 20-plus years, says Billy Eordekian, president of 1-800EveryRim.com.
Acker Wheel's customers "fit right in with ours," Eordekian continues. "We both cater to tire stores, collision centers and auto recyclers."
Doug Alton had owned Acker Wheel since 1986. Acker was founded in the 1970s.
