CTNA will continue to rely on council

April 6, 2009

Continental Tire North America Inc. (CTNA) says it will continue to rely on its ContiBusinessCouncil for feedback.

The council was formed in 2004 to serve as a liaison between CTNA and its dealers.

"The feedback we receive from the council has been an integral part of our strategy-building, as well as our decision-making process," says Andreas Gerstenberger, vice president of sales and marketing for CTNA.

"The council meets once a year and actively contributes throughout the year... its suggestions have driven" many of the tiremaker's key initiatives.

Council members include Len Lewin of American Car Care Centers Inc., Dan Seitler of American Tire Distributors Inc., Michael Cox of the Independent Tire Dealers Group LLC and others.

The group met in late March in Huntington Beach, Calif.
