Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is evaluating the possibility of investing as much as $250 million in its Topeka, Kan., plant to boost its OTR tire production capacity.

The money also would be used to upgrade technology at the plant, which is one of five Goodyear plants worldwide that produces OTR tires.

If enacted, the investment would occur in two phases over a six-year span, according to company officials.
