The Independent Tire Dealers Group LLC (ITDG) has added its first member in the Southeast with the signing of Monroe, Ga.-based Ronnie Ward Tire Co. Inc.
Ronnie Ward Tire has five locations. Four are run as Bull Dog Tires and Car Care Service Centers; the other is a wholesale location.
"As we continue to grow and add value to our program, it is inevitable that the group's offerings will make more sense for more independent dealers in more areas of the country," says Ed Long, vice president of sales and marketing for ITDG.
The ITDG has 109 members representing more than 300 tire and service center locations in the United States. The buying program allows dealers to choose which vendors and suppliers make sense for their locations, "and doesn't pigeonhole them into chasing a number in order to get the deal," according to Long.
