Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC's (BATO) distribution center in Jacksonville, Fla., has been named Industrial Project of the Year by the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
The warehouse, which is BATO's largest distribution center in the United States, can stock more than one million tires, ranging from small passenger and industrial tires to medium truck tires.
It currently ships tires to customers in the Carolinas, Florida and Georgia and "will ultimately supply the entire U.S. with imports from Latin America," as well as the eastern half of the country with tires from Japan "and other Asian countries," say BATO officials.
