OTR tiremakers, dealers brace for unusual year

Order Reprints

This year promises to be an unusual one for OTR tire manufacturers and dealers. A number of changes are taking place that will impact the market, starting with the mining industry, where activity is slowing down after several extremely robust years.

What has caused the sudden downturn? How is it impacting OTR tire supply, not only at the giant tire level but across the board? How are tire manufacturers reacting?

MTD Senior Editor Mike Manges answers these and other questions in his "Recession catches up with the OTR tire market" article, which appears in the February 2009 issue of Modern Tire Dealer magazine.
