ALLDATA signs 70,000th customer

April 10, 2008

ALLDATA LLC has signed its 70,000th customer, an automotive repair shop in Bufford, S.C.

The company is "improving productivity at the counter and at the fender," says Jeff Lagges, president. "That's 70,000 customers accessing us every day." Customers sign a first year subscription to ALLDATA's vehicle repair information service, after that they can decide any day to cancel.

ALLDATA signed on its first customer in August 1988. The 70,000 milestone is "bittersweet," says Lagges. "We're growing, and our market is shrinking."

ALLDATA also recently announced it is now offering technical data to support the collision industry. Called ALLDATA Collision (CollisionConnect), it offers a single source for manufacturers' collision repair information.

ALLDATA Collision provides OEM procedures, diagrams, exact measurements and specifications for body panel replacement procedures, parts ID, hybrid technology and more.
