Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC (BFNT) has awarded scholarship money to 12 high school students who wrote essays about driver safety.
The essay contest was sponsored by BFNT's Safety Scholars program "as part of the company's on-going commitment to safety education," say BFNT officials.
Each winner will receive a set of Bridgestone or Firestone brand tires, plus a $500 gas card. On top of that, each of the three grand prize winners receive a $2,500 college scholarship and new lap-top computer.
