Timbes Tire, Exhaust & Alignment recently was named Business of the Year in Burnsville, Miss.
Burnsville Mayor David Nixon presented the Business of the Year Award to the company, which completed a significant expansion this year. Timbes Tire is one of the largest retail businesses in Tishomingo County.
The Timbes family has been in business in Burnsville for more than 50 years. Bill Timbes started Timbes Tire, Exhaust & Alignment in 1987 with one employee. The company has grown to 14 employees.
A lifelong citizen of Tishomingo County, Timbes says he is grateful for his repeat customers, who come from as far away as Memphis, Tenn., Tupelo, Miss., and the Quad-Cities region (made up of Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa; Moline/East Moline and Rock Island in Illinois; and surrounding communities, all flanking the Mississippi River).
"Our emphasis on quality American-made tires, customer service, and warranty creates a loyal customer base. We take a lot of pride in the appearance of our businesses and most of all with quality customer service.
"This is a family owned business and my entire family along with several long-time dedicated employees make sure that each and every customer is treated like family," says Timbes. "The hours are long, and often hard, but we would not want to do anything else."
Timbes' other businesses include Timbes Auto Accessories, Timbes Wrecker Service, Timbes Truck Service, Timbes Mini-Storage and Timbes U-Haul.
