Tire Centers LLC adds features to its T3 program

Sept. 5, 2006

Tire Centers LLC's T3 program is continuing to grow hand-in-hand with the addition of new or improved features.

To date in 2006, Tire Centers (TCI) has opened distribution centers in six new markets: Los Angeles, Detroit, Indianapolis, Nashville, Tenn., Pensacola, Fla., and Mobile, Ala. "The expansion into these new markets will significantly increase the overall number of T3 dealers in the U.S. market," says Dave Snyder, vice president of TCI's distribution division.

(There were more than 500 T3 dealers nationwide entering 2006. Through May of 2006, 23 more dealers had joined the program.)

The T3 program recently added benefits. One is the new Wheel Pros high-tech wheel program, which supports the fast growing ultra-high performance market, according to Snyder.

The Wheel Pros custom wheel program features classic to exotic aluminum and steel wheels in sizes ranging from 14 through 26 inches. Numerous exclusive lines from top manufacturers are available. The program is complete with warranties, support, ordering and delivery, wheel displays, promotional assistance and a full-credit return policy.

The company also developed its new T3 Tire Dealers Insurance Program with the help of Federated Insurance. Property coverage, business interruption, crime coverage, general liability healt and life insurance policies are available, as are retirement plans.

Finally, T3 has expanded its national road hazard warranty on the Michelin, Harmony and Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring lines.

"One of the things about the program is that there are lots of elements," says Rocky Harbison, president of OK Tires Inc., a five store chain based in Holland, Mich. He also is a member of the T3 Dealer Advisory Council.

"Every element is not for every dealer, but every element has its place. If you're a dealer and you look at the whole scope of doing business in today's market, the program offers something in almost every major category."

The T3 program was initiated in 2001 with 22 distribution centers; there are now 38.

TCI, a wholly owned subsidary of Michelin North America Inc., offers Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, Hankook, Yokohama, Pirelli, CMA, Greenball and the Trivant private brand through its T3 program. For more information, visit TCI online at www.tirecenters.com.
