George Edwards, the longtime tire industry veteran who helped found the predecessor to the American Retreaders Association, is back in business.
Edwards has re-opened his consulting business in Louisville, Ky., George R. Edwards Inc. He is making himself available as an expert witness specializing in tire failure analysis.
He says he is confining his services to four states: Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee and Indiana.
"I've been retired four years, just long enough to say, 'Hey, this isn't as great as I thought it was,'" says Edwards. "I got tired of playing golf (all the time)."
