Titan International Inc. has signed a five-year contract to supply Deere & Co. with construction and forestry tires.
Titan will produce single-piece wheels that will replace multi-piece rims, according to Titan officials, who believe the switch "will allow for the development of enhanced tires for the OTR market."
Titan Chairman and CEO Morry Taylor says he is impressed by "the
commitment Deere is making not only for their current supply needs, but also their commitment to partner with Titan to develop new tires for their customers."
Titan finalized its acquistion of Continental Tire North America Inc.'s OTR tire plant in Bryan, Ohio, at the end of July.
