Tim Dietz, account manager and technical salesman for Standards Testing Laboratories Inc. (STL), has been elected to the Wheel & Tire Council (WTC) Select Committee of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA).
The council, comprised of manufacturers, distributors, retailers, installers, service providers and publications from both the wheel and tire industries, is dedicated to addressing the challenges facing this market segment. In recent years, the WTC has been an instrumental part of creating wheel installation guidelines, educating the public on tire-pressure monitoring system regulations and passing wheel testing standards.
Dietz has been employed at STL for 17 years. He has been involved in the development of several tire and wheel test procedures for OEM and aftermarket manufacturers in the tire sealant, motorcycle, axle, hub, aircraft, military, racing sanctioning body, agricultural, industrial, off-road and theme park and people-mover industries.
He is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and American Society for Testing and Materials.
