Hankook Tire America Corp. warehouse manager John Placzankis recently won $1 million in a horseshoe pitching contest in Santa Anita, Calif.

“We are certainly happy to see one of our own win such a lofty prize,” said Bill Bainbridge, Hankook director of brand communication. “Our wish is that John will enjoy his winnings and that we hear more of our hard working employees in this type of situation.”

Placzankis, 41, works at the company's distribution center in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
