More on what Remington gains from President acquisition

July 27, 2006

Before its acquisition of President Tire Canada, Remington Tire Distributors Inc. had 20 distribution centers throughout Canada.

The purchase of President Tire gives the Sherwood Park, Alberta-based company 10 more warehouses and a bigger presence in the eastern part of the country.

More specifically, the acquisition significantly boosts Remington's footprint in Quebec (President Tire is headquartered in the Montreal suburb of Laval) and the Maritimes.

Remington already had three distribution centers in Quebec, plus one in New Brunswick, one in Newfoundland and one in Nova Scotia.

In addition, it has five distribution centers in Ontario, four in British Columbia, two in Alberta, two is Saskatchewan and one in Manitoba.
