Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC (BFNT) will be the premier sponsor and sole tire supplier of Hybridfest, the nation’s largest event dedicated to hybrid-electric vehicles.
Hybridfest 2006 will be held July 22 at Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
More than 100 hybrids -- many fitted with Bridgestone brand Ecopia tires -- will be on display.
"Hybrid technology will play an important role in reducing America’s dependence of oil and lowering global warming emissions,” said Phil Pacsi, vice president, North American consumer tire marketing, BFNT.
The Bridgestone Ecopia is designed for lower rolling resistance, with lightweight, high-strength construction, according to BFNT officials.
