Stamford aims for double-digit growth

Stamford Tyres Corp. Ltd. says it will deliver double-digit growth in 2007 through, in part, sales of its proprietary Sumo Firenza brand in the United States and Europe.

Stamford achieved more than 80% growth in profitablity during its 2006 fiscal year.

The Singapore-based company also is planning to build an aluminum wheel factory in Thailand that will boost its current rim capacity to 720,000 units per year.

Operations are slated to begin during the first half of 2008.
