May 25, 2006

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.'s Cooper Tire Mobile Tour has added the SEC Baseball Tournament to its 2006 schedule.

"The Cooper Tire Mobile Tour features XBox gaming systems, interactive racing simulators and an impressive sound system accompanied by twin 45-inch flat-panel televisions," say Cooper officials.

"We are pleased to have our long-time sponsor Cooper add to the excitement of the SEC Baseball Tournament in this way," says Tournament Director Charles Bloom.

The SEC Tournament will follow an eight-team double elimination format that is modeled after the College World Series.

The tournament field includes the top two teams from the SEC’s Eastern and Western Divisions, plus four at-large bids based on conference winning percentages.

The 2005 SEC Baseball Tournament drew 119,580 fans, the third highest total attendance in the event’s history.
