Federal Corp. will raise prices on all of its tires produced in China and Taiwan next month. Prices of the company's Federal and Hero brand tires will increase 5%.
The hikes are intendd to "counter higher raw material and energy costs," according to Federal officials.
Federal is the second Asian tire manufacturer this week to announce coming price increases.
Earlier this week, Nexen Tire America Inc. revealed it will raise prices on tires out of its warehouse by 7%, effective April 1.
