Look for Goodyear's 1Q results on May 4

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. will report first-quarter 2006 financial results before the market opens on Thursday, May 4. The announcement will be followed by an investor conference call at 11:30 a.m. EDT.

Participating in the conference call will be Robert Keegan, chairman, CEO and president; Richard Kramer, executive vice president and chief financial officer; and Darren Wells, senior vice president, business development and treasurer. They will review Goodyear's first-quarter results.

Prior to the commencement of the call, the company will post 1Q financial information on its investor relations Web site: investor.goodyear.com.

Goodyear posted a net loss of $51 million on record fourth-quarter sales of $4.9 billion for 4Q 2005. Segment operating income was $226 million.

Goodyear's stock closed at $13.67 a share on Tuesday, April 25, on the New York Stock Exchange. That compares to a 52-week high and low of $19.31 and $11.61, respectively.
