Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has signed a year-long endorsement deal with hip-hop DJ and TV personality Funkmaster Flex.

"As Cooper continues to evolve as a company and increase our high performance product offerings, we want to reach buyers in meaningful and high-profile ways," say Cooper officials.

"Flex has immense appeal in addition to automotive expertise, passion and excitement for finely tuned and customized vehicles."

Flex hosts two TV shows, Spike TV's Ride with Funkmaster Flex, and ESPN 2's All Muscle with Funkmaster Flex.

He also hosts the Funkmaster Flex Custom Car & Bike Show, which is entering its fifth year touring the United States.

Flex will appear in a new print advertisement for the Cooper Zeon XST tire that will target the sport truck market and will make in-person appearances to support the Cooper Tires brand.
