Lauterbach Tire digs out from tornado damage

Order Reprints

Lauterbach Tire & Auto Service in Springfield, Ill., lost 10 days of business due to tornado damage suffered on March 12.

However, the single-location dealership is on the road to recovery.

"Our building is L-shaped with six exterior walls," owner Jay Lauterbach told moderntiredealer.com earlier today.

"Four of those walls were sucked out by the (storm's) pressure. We've removed some of them temporarily.

"We're OK structurally, but not back together yet."

Lauterbach Tire sells Bridgestone, Firestone and Hercules brand tires, among others.
