Bridgestone Americas will get new vice chairman, CFO

Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc. (BSAH) has announced that Shoji Mizuochi, current chief financial officer of parent company Bridgestone Corp., will join BSAH as its vice chairman and CFO, effective June 30.

Akira Nozawa, BSAH's current executive vice president and CFO, will be promoted to vice president and CFO of finance, procurement and IT & network, for Bridgestone Corp. on the same day.

"The changes... underscore the importance of BSAH to the overall business and strategy of Bridgestone Corp.," says Mark Emkes, BSAH chairman and CEO.

Mizuochi is a 35-year Bridgestone veteran. Nozawa has been with the company for more than 33 years.

In related news, Bridgestone has announced that Tatsuya Okajima, one of its board members, has been promoted to senior vice president. He will be responsible for original equipment.

Board member Hideki Yokohama will assume the position of vice president and officer, product planning and business development, on April 1.
