Del-Nat names VP of marketing, wraps up meeting

March 13, 2006

Ken Coltrane has been appointed vice president of marketing for Del-Nat Tire Corp.

Coltrane, a 10-year Del-Nat veteran, will be responsible for the development of product lines, programs and supplier relations.

He also will oversee order replenishment and marketing communications.

Coltrane most recently held the position of vice president, purchasing and export sales, for Del-Nat.

More than 200 Del-Nat stockholders and direct distributors attended the private brand marketer's 2006 Spring Meeting in Tunica, Miss.

The three day event, which ended on March 11, included a full day of classroom and hands-on training of tire pressure monitoring system regulations and equipment conducted by Kevin Rohlwing, the Tire Industry Association's vice president of education and technical services.

"One day was devoted to stockholder focus groups, where retail and wholesale distributors meet to discuss their unique business situations and conduct benchmark comparisons to evaluate their own businesses," say Del-Nat officials.

"An open house trade show was conducted at the Del-Nat Memphis, Tenn., distribution center with all Del-Nat suppliers displaying their products and answering questions from the customers."
