TIA proceeds with Earthmover Training program development

Feb. 24, 2006

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) will hold a series of planning meetings for its Earthmover Tire Service (ETS) Program this spring.

TIA is partnering with Australia-based Klinge Tyre Management Systems to put the program together, TIA Senior Vice President of Education and Technical Service Kevin Rohlwing told attendees at this week's TIA OTR Tire Conference near Orlando, Fla.

"They have decades of experience in OTR tires," says Rohlwing.

Meetings will cover tire design and applications; repair procedures; service trucks; tool usage and maintenance; and other topics.

TIA's Basic ETS Program is expected to be completed by the end of the year, according to Rohlwing.
