The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has been named Penske Truck Leasing Co. Supplier of the Year for the seventh consecutive year.
Goodyear was rated first among all tire suppliers, according to Penske’s vendor quality rating. The company is Penske’s primary supplier of replacement and retreaded tires in North America. It also provides fleet management tools to lower Penske's overall tire costs.
Dave Beasley, director of Goodyear commercial tire sales, said, "We have developed an excellent supply relationship with the Penske team, and we continuously look for ways to lower their cost-per-mile. It's a business that we value highly."
Penske Truck Leasing, headquartered in Reading, Pa., is a joint venture of Penske Corp. and General Electric. A leading global transportation services provider, the company operates more than 200,000 vehicles and serves customers from nearly 1,000 locations in
the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America and Europe.
