Marangoni finishes U.S. plant expansion

Feb. 13, 2006

The recently completed expansion and upgrade of Marangoni Tread North America Inc.'s (MTNA) Madison, Tenn., plant will enable Marangoni to meet nearly 75% of its North American demand with domestically built product.

"In the last 14 months we have added six new dealer plants to our network here in the United States," says MTNA President Bill Sweatman.

"This latest expansion should go a long way to improve our responsiveness to all of our customer needs."

"Adding manufacturing in the U.S. and expanding the business represents an investment of $10 million here by the Marangoni Group," say MTNA officials, "and is part of a longer-term global development and expansion plan which includes expansion of products, programs and manufacturing."

Marangoni manufactures its RINGtread tread rubber at the Madison facility.
