Bridgestone brand cleans up in Consumers Digest listing

The February 2006 issue of Consumers Digest lists the Bridgestone brand as a "Best Buy" in four categories: touring, performance, light truck/SUV and sport.

"The 'Best Buy' designation indicates these products offer the best value for their price," says Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC (BFNT) officials.

The designation "is awarded, on average, to fewer than 3% of competing models in any given product category."

Consumers Digest editors collect information from numerous sources to reach their conclusions, including independent testing and research facilities, government agencies, consumer surveys, service outlets, independent technical experts, plus their own hands-on examinations, according to BFNT officials.
