Jan. 5, 2006

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has named Rodney Kreinbrink plant manager for its Albany, Ga., manufacturing facility.

In his new position, Kreinbrink will oversee the plant's daily operations. The Albany facility produces about 11.5 million tires per year and employs almost 1,600 people.

Modern Tire Dealer estimates the plant's capacity at 26,000 passenger tires a day.

A 17-year Cooper veteran, Kreinbrink has been serving as Albany's production manager since June 2005. Prior to that he served in various engineering and manufacturing capacities, including director of reliability engineering at the company's tire division headquarters in Findlay, Ohio.

Kreinbrink succeeded William Bonner, who retired at the end of 2005.
