Nov. 27, 2012

Tire Factory has named Robert (Bob) Tate its new director of sales and marketing. Tate brings more than 17 years of sales and marketing leadership to the Portland, Ore.-based, member-owned company.

"Bob brings a solid skill set (that) will help guide our significant growth plans and surpass our record achievement of 30 new stores for 2012 alone," says CEO John Kreidel.

“What a great opportunity Tire Factory has given me to help independent tire dealers grow their businesses profitably,” adds Tate, who previously held positions at TCi (a wholly–owned subsidiary of Michelin North America Inc.), Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions, Procter and Gamble Co. and Chiquita Brands LLC.

Tire Factory's members operate more than 200 retail locations serving 14 western states with end-consumer sales in excess of $300 million. The company serves its members from three regional distribution centers in Portland, Denver and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Tire Factory has grown steadily by providing its members enhanced marketing and buying programs. For more information, visit www.tirefactory.com.
