Midas/ASE Tech of the Year named

Nov. 21, 2012

Midas International and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) are honoring Kevin Morandi as Midas/ASE Technician of the Year.

Morandi was presented with this award at ASE’s annual board meeting held on Nov. 14, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas.

Morandi is the shop foreman at the Orland Park, Ill., Midas shop. As an ASE Master Technician who holds an L1 Advanced Engine Performance certification, Morandi actively seeks out training opportunities that will enhance his expertise in the field.

“I believe that ASE sets the standard for excellence and professionalism in the auto repair business. The testing and certifications challenge technicians to be the best they can be,” says Morandi.

“Customers want to know that their mechanic knows what he/she is doing. They want to be sure that their vehicle is going to be fixed right the first time. The ASE patch lets them know they are dealing with professionals.”

Morandi was selected based on his level of ASE Certifications and scores, recommendations from customers and his supervisor, as well as his commitment to his family and community.

Midas became a wholly owned subsidiary of TBC Corp. on April 30, 2012.
