Fortune ranks SPX among most admired corporations

SPX Corp. is one of "America's Most Admired Companies" in 2008, according to Fortune.

In the magazine's March 17 issue, SPX is ranked fifth in the "Electronics" industry category of its list, now in its 26th year. SPX ranked behind General Electric Co., Emerson Electric Co., Sony Corp. of America and Siemens USA/Siemens Corp. (in that order).

"This acknowledgement is particularly gratifying because it is a

direct reflection of the individual contributions our 17,000 employees around the world make each day toward our success," says Chairman, CEO and President Chris Kearney.
