SEMA Show, Day Four: Two new Landsail tires

Nov. 5, 2012

Two new premium products were displayed in the Sentaida International Inc. booth at the Global Tire Expo.

1. Landsail CLV6. The all-season SUV tire completes the company's CLV family. It features an asymmetrical tread pattern with special three-dimensional zigzag sipes designed to help not only maintain block rigidity by locking together, but also provide biting edges for wet, snow and ice traction. It will be rolled out in 17- through 26-inch sizes in the first quarter of 2013.

Maxwell Wee, director of sales, says sizes will be added to the lineup. That includes original equipment sizes for Japanese, United States (specifically Detroit, Mich.) and European vehicle applications.

2. Landsail LS588. The all-season summer tire has an asymmetric tread pattern. Wee says there is more silica in the LS588 than in the flagship LS988, which gives it lower rolling resistance. It initially will be available in 23 sizes ranging from 215/55ZR17 94W to 245/30ZR20 86W.

Wee says the company's new Delinte D4 passenger touring tire line also will be introduced in the United States in the first quarter of 2013. It will be available in 13- through 18-inch sizes.

The proposed 50-size line will help cover applications the Delinte D7 all-season performance tire, which is available in 66 16- through 22-inch sizes, does not.

"Our goal for Delinte is to eventually be a full-line tire," adds Wee.
