Tire Choice chooses to fight breast cancer

The Tire Choice & Total Car Care has partnered once again with tire manufacturer Omni United Pte. Ltd. in the Mobilizing Hope campaign to support breast cancer research.

During October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Tire Choice is among the many tire outlets that will raise money for Mobilizing Hope. Compared to last year, the number of involved tire distribution centers has increased from 80 to 1,200.

For each Radar-brand tire these participants sell, Omni United donates 25 cents to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Last year’s efforts raised $250,000. This year, Omni United’s goal is $1 million, with a minimum donation of $250,000.

As a part of the Mobilizing Hope campaign, Tire Choice will offer a 10% service discount every Wednesday during the month of October. There is a catch: Customers must be dressed in pink to claim discount.

In addition, Tire Choice will donate $1 to local breast cancer research for every Omni Radar-brand tire sold.

This year marks the second time that Tire Choice has participated in Mobilizing Hope.

“This is one of the largest charity events we have across all The Tire Choice locations, so we’re pretty excited," says Dan Hennelly, Tire Choice CEO. "We’ll be doing our best to increase our numbers from last year.”

Hennelly Tire & Auto Inc., based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is the the 31st largest tire dealership on the Modern Tire Dealer 100 list. It has 34 Tire Choice stores in Florida.
