Mercedes takes Advan-tage of Yokohama

The Yokohama Advan line has been well-received by vehicle manufacturers of late.

The Advan Sport V105 MO has been selected as original equipment for the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class, B-Class and SL-Class models produced by Daimler AG. In addition, the Advan S.T. MO is OE on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

* Mercedes Benz A-Class and B-Class: tire size is 225/45R17 91W.

*  Mercedes-Benz SL-Class: tire sizes are 255/40R18 95Y for the front and 285/35R18 97Y for the rear.

The Advan Sport V105 MO was developed jointly by Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. and Daimler; the "MO" mark on the side of each tire signifies approval by Daimler.

The new tires deliver all of the stability in the "super high-speed range" of their predecessor, the ADVAN Sport V103, "with further improved performance on wet and dry surfaces and braking," according to Yokohama. In addition, quiet ride and a high level of comfort are finely balanced.

The Advan Sport V105 MO also is OE on the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class and SLK-Class vehicles released in 2011.

Advan S.T. MO

* Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G 63 AMG and G 65 AMG): tire size is 275/50R20 113W.

The Advan S.T. MO delivers high performance at top speeds in the W range (270 km/h), as well as "outstanding performance on wet and dry surfaces, resulting in true sport performance from an SUV tire," adds the company.

Standard models in the new G-Class are equipped with Geolander H/T G038 SUV tires in size 265/60R18 110V.
