Messe Frankfurt and MEMA sign Automechanika shows agreement

Feb. 26, 2008

Messe Frankfurt Inc. (MFI) and the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers

Association (MEMA) have signed a cooperation agreement to support

key global Automechanika shows.

This new cooperation agreement expands the existing relationship

between MFI and MEMA that has for many years included

promotion of the primary Automechanika show in Frankfurt and a

partnership between MFI and MEMA in the production of the

PAACE Automechanika Mexico show.

The new agreement includes promotion of the Automechanika shows in Moscow, Dubai and Shanghai.

MFI will offer MEMA members special turnkey packages in U.S. pavilions at the Automechanika Moscow, Dubai and Shanghai shows, giving MEMA members easy access to these important growth markets.

“As part of our ongoing efforts to work on our members’ behalf to help

them grow their business all over the world, MEMA is pleased to

extend our working relationship with Messe Frankfurt,” says Bob

McKenna, president and CEO of MEMA.

“This agreement builds on our long-standing relationship at the Automechanika Frankfurt event and our collaboration on PAACE Automechanika Mexico, which has resulted in that annual trade show growing to be the largest of its kind in Mexico and Central America,” he adds.

“This extended agreement will give our members access to three world automotive markets that are experiencing dramatic growth.”

“MEMA has been an important partner for Messe Frankfurt for many

years, and this expanded cooperation agreement extends that

partnership into these important markets for U.S. aftermarket parts

manufacturers,” says David Audrain, president and CEO of MFI.
