Vogue Tyre & Rubber Co. is recalling certain Custom Built and Signature V tires that do not have the full tire identification number (TIN) branded on the outboard sidewall.
A total of 701 units are affected, including Custom Built tires size 225/50R17 and Signature V tires sizes 225/50R17, 235/50R18 and 245/45R18. The tires were produced between January 1 and August 11, 2012.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) says that in the event of a safety recall, tires missing a TIN from the outboard sidewall cannot be readily identified.
Vogue will notify owners, and dealers will replace the tires free of charge. Owners may contact Vogue at (800) 323-1466, or the NHTSA at (888) 327-4236, or go to safercar.gov.
